Are dew claws removed on agility dogs. Or do they help with traction

On boxers dews are removed at 3-4 days old . They only have front dews -none on the rear .

It is called for them to be removed in the boxer standard . It goes back to when boxers were used in military and police work . Boxers use their front paws/ legs more than other breeds and they are torn off easily . Once torn off it is harder to get them to heal and it is very painful vs them healing quicker and being removed before the nerve endings are fully formed .
