Peaches vs. Porcupine

Not good.....
Was at the cabin yesterday and was strapping the kids in the car. Peaches was roaming in the back yard and came back with a face full of quills...
there were about 30 of them I pulled out. Most came our really easy but 7 or 8 of them she winced as they were in there good.
She has her cone on and seems to be in really good spirits so we will re-evaluate this morning on whether a vet visit is warranted.

Aww, that looks terrible, poor little Peaches, give her a big hug and a kiss from me. I am SO glad we don't get those nasty porcupines over here!

Poor thing! Hope she's alright!
Hope she learns her lesson too, not to stick her snout where it doesn't belong! Scooby always had that problem... Never did learn, that dummy haha.

She cried only when we pulled out the few deep ones. There was also a patch of fivew that caused her to leak pretty good for about 10 minutes.
She is doing great today. We opted not to take her to the vet as she was cheerful and her normal self. You can tell her face is a little swollen still but other than that she is ok!

I was reading online that porcupines actually taunt the dog into attacking it...
