Default Breeders Who Ship Boxers

In my quest to find a good boxer breeder i've come across several breeders who offering shipping of their boxer puppies.

Is this a normal/acceptable practice?

depends on who you ask!! I personally don't care for it. I drove 12 hrs each way for Poppy. Can you imagine how scarey it would be for a puppy, especially for a social boxer to be stuck in cargo during fear imprint stages!!!
Many pups have been shipped though and survived the ordeal fine.

Personally I would want to see the dog and check it out first before I took it home ,so guess I would be like whitedaisy and take the drive .

Most breeders I know do not ship a puppy without first meeting the new owners in person.
Flying can be dangerous as the animals are treated as cargo . I would also want to meet the puppy I was going to share my home with, to make sure the personality and temperment is a good match with my family.

I live in Md but have puppies in Mass , Michigan , South Carolina , Virginia , Delaware . Well you get the idea . They all had to come and meet me first before I would even decide to place a puppy with them . Then had to come back again to pick up the puppy , some even came a few times to play with the puppies .

Will airlines even fly boxer pups in this weather?

I would never even want a puppy I didn't meet first and personally, I don't care for the idea of shipping puppies at all. We met Boo before we brought her home, met her dam and met her breeder, all of which were very important in my choice to bring her home.
