Wow Missi I just read your update, how are they all doing now? How is the little pink girl? Is it common for the pups to overeat and get diarrhoa? I hope things have settled down for them and you - I just couldn't take the stress of all this.....

Hey missi, you said the pups are fighting for a nipple... How many nipples does edy have compared to the 9 pups? Just wondering cause peaches has 11. Is it more like fighting for a nipple that has some milk in it?

Do dogs that get supplemented get turned off of mom's milk?

Edy has 8 nipples , dogs can have different amounts ( her mom had 10).

No , if you suppliment they will still want to nurse , the instinct to suckle is very strong . If you put them up to your face they will latch on to your nose , chin , lips or whatever they can .

Everyone is still holding their own , they are still gaining weight and being active which is good .
