Questions for Missi's Journal

Missi, don't be hasty, it's actually easier for them to birth 10 than a few, as once things progress, they just shoot out like grapes :0)
I never take temps anymore, they drive me nuts up and down. What day is she at??? I give mine until day 65 or 67 depending on how she was bred. look for actual labor, obviously if she never goes in you will have to intervene, but please be patient. My Lilly is due on Friday, she started small bouts of panting, these I think are the braxton hicks contractions, getting things ready. As long as she begins to settle down and rest in between, wait it out. In my opinion, people are too quick, I can't believe the amount of c-sections going on nowadays. there are obvious signs we can watch for and see before we begin to intervene.
By the way, you have a great journal, and it is good to keep records for future ref.
One more thing? are you seeing the pups move????

Mary Lou , My last litter was 11 and was free whelped with no problems . My vet is just throwing out the possibility of primary inertia .
What day is she at???
Today is day 65 .
One more thing? are you seeing the pups move????
The puppies are moving though not as much . It could be because there is not much room left but it also makes me worry .

I just read your journal entry - my goodness, such a hard time for all of you. I really hope this journal makes other think about what can be involed in breeding - I had no idea at all. I also didn't realise you weighed them all the time - LOL, it's makes sense if you think about it -- please Missi, can you post up some weights - I am so curious to know how much they weigh.
