I have a bit of a different approach, I don't like collars, so we take red fingernail polish and dab it onto alternate nails, ie: front right front left rear right rear left. and since we have plains and flashes we can use the same code, but on a different colored dog, and of course Gabe is special, he is his own marking :0)

But what is it that I see around all their necks? Looks like studded collars, LOL, or maybe writing on something around their necks.

Back from the Vet, tails and dewclaws done, pups and mom are resting. I'm thinking about going back to colored ribbon like Missi, these toenails are harder to read, and you have to constantly pick them up to figure out who is who...

Just an update, complications set in one of the pups, he developed a twisted bowel and passed away last night, Lilly and her remaining 7 boys are doing great. It was a very sad time, but we need to focus on our healthy pups...
Here is just one more reason, people need to understand that breeding is not cut and dried, it is not for the weak and weary. These heartbreaking events happen and we need to learn to move forward.
So at any rate, they are now 1 week old and we will await the eyes to open in the next week :0)
Today, they will get their nails cut for the first time, I'm sure Lilly will appreciate that...
Further updates to follow...
