I know, she looks so sad, but we only let her in a few times a day, she still sleeps with them. They are on solids now and supplemented with momma :0)
They range in weight from 3-4 3/4 pounds.

Why is she only allowed in a few times a day - so the pups will not rely on her for food?

That's a really interesting photo - I never thought about dogs feeding the pups standing up - I know sheep and cows feed standing up, but all the pictures I have ever seen of dogs they always seem to be lying down.
Lily is a good mummy just standing there letting them feed of her - does she ever tell the pups off if they bite her too hard?
