One month to go......
To remove this ad please Register
Or, at 22.07 pm in the UK, it's exactly 29 days, 698 hours, 41872 minutes and 2512325 seconds.....Yikes....... I'm so disorganised, I haven't done anything more since last month - this is typical of me - I'll be running around the week before Christmas as usual, buying what's left over......
The dogs are already looking out for Santa - just incase he comes early..........ha ha ha.......[squirrels more like!]

Last year a number of my family made Amazon Wish Lists (the blue menu button on the far right side of the Cart button). You can add anything from Amazon's store or, if you set up the Universal Wish List, you can add anything from any website. It really made shopping easier! You put in their name and can select from the list they created without guesswork. If they wanted clothes, they picked the sizes, colors, etc. Or a particular type of tea - and the surprise factor is still there because they don't know what you got or didn't get. If they choose to monitor their list, they could tell that someone got it, but they wouldn't know who.
Beats battling the crowds, unless you enjoy that sort of thing.

NOOOOOOO! While I have a good head start I still need to get some more stuff and it's the last grocery shop before Christmas that gets me - all those crazy frustrated people, the long lines, getting to the seafood shop really early before everyone else and then having to do the manic day trip to Sydney to see certain family members and old friends. Also there is only three weeks of school left
Very cute pics of the pups lol.

i wish my family made Amazon wish lists. Unfortunately, they're just not savvy enough for something so technical

I made my wishlist one year on Amazon..... my family really screwed that one up. My dd went to the store to buy the items, so I got duplicates of quite a few things since they weren't removed from the list!
I was already hating the holidays today. I was very cranky and tired today. I went to BJ's a big warehouse store, to buy Rex's ground turkey in big bulk packs and they had none. I was so angry. What is everyone doing with ground turkey for thanksgiving.... making turkey meatloaf???? So I had to go to another store for it. Plus I had to buy eggs for the stuffing which I forgot to buy while grocery shopping.
While repacking Rex's turkey into freezer baggies, I just wanted to cry from sheer exhaustion. After I got done with bagging up the turkey, I went to lay down in the bed and watch some tv. Then one of my girlfriends called and we chatted for a long time. Before you know it, it was time to make supper, so I did get some down time before I started up again. Got 2 pies baked too.

Stephanie, really cute pics of the pups waiting for Santa.
I am dreading putting up the tree. I don't know if they know what one is,LOL... but I am just hoping it stays standing. Especially on the new slippery floors! Plus I usually put the tree in front of the window that they sit to look out! I think this is going to be a rough one for the Christmas tree.

I wish my lot would make wish lists – it would make my life so much easier. Unfortunately it’s a bit of a family trait – we are all too disorganised and/or computer illiterate to sort them out – even phone conversations go something like this:
Me: What do you want for Christmas?
Relative: Don’t know yet – we’ll think about it
Me: Erm – there’s only a few weeks to go you know?
Relative: Yes, well, what do you want?
Me: Don’t know still thinking about it.................
This conversation will be repeated verbatim up until about the 20, 21 Dec.......

I totally agree with that, I try and get to the supermarket as soon as it opens for that final Christmas shop – otherwise it’s just murderous – the queues – OMGoodness – can’t be dealing with it......
