If money were no object, where in the world would you most like to go and why?

I would LOVE to go to Kenya and see the big 5:

Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos and Rhinos.

Not to mention the possibility of seeing giraffes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, warthogs, antelopes, gazelles, plus all the bird sightings.

How amazing would that be?

My dream is to take this 128 around the world cruise with Holland America. We've sailed with them before and loved it. But there are so many places I'd love to see still. One big problem, besides money, is what would we do with Buddy? I don't think I could bear to leave him for that long, even if it was with a good friend.

Sweet! Lots of money, but I bet they'll have a blast and a lifetime of good memories.

You may think I am crazy, but I have absolutely no desire to go anywhere. I am SO content to just be here at home. We have traveled lots in our younger days...nothing exotic or anything. But always to tropical places. We love the beaches and clear aqua waters. My kids got to enjoy all of these places too, so I am happy for what we have done already. At least they got to travel which is more than I did as a kid. I guess if you would have asked me years ago, I would have responded differently. I don't want to be waiting in lines at airports anymore and all this security these days too. I just don't have it in me, LOL. Don't mean to be a bummer, cause I am VERY happy with my life as it is.

Dh still travels a little with our kids. They go to those cold places to go skiing and see buffalo, and all that good stuff. I think their last out of state trip was to Canada for a ski trip. I saw beautiful photos...so I enjoyed just hearing about it from them.

You did say money was no object lol, really too many places to list but a few would be first starting at home and exploring the places I have not seen yet (whats the point of going overseas if I haven't seen everything in my own backyard) so I would do Aust (minus Perth, Fremantle, Brisbane and other parts of Queensland - haven't been up north yet and east coast of NSW has been covered from Kyogle to Batemans Bay). Then I would like to do Europe (at least England, Ireland, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Austria), Australia is such a new country in comparison, that we just don't have the really historical buildings and places.

Ron, my dad did a trip around Australia nine years ago, he sold his house, quit his job, bought a caravan and hooked it up to his 4WD and took off - he LOVED it! Would you do one of those Kombi backpacking trips Down Under we see heaps of them at the beach carparks and laugh at how good they've got it, they turn up at a beach carpark and stay there the night - have water views, wake up to the sound of the waves crashing, no noisy neighbours ...........then they move to the next carpark the following night and slowly make their way up or down the coast lol.
