hmm not sure we have a nat ional food but in alberta we are known for the best beef in the world alberta beef! Yes it is the best in the world!

Some of my favorite canadian foods( i think they are canadian) include: Mapley Syrup, Poutine (fries, gravy, cheese curds), Canadian Bacon, Fresh taber corn from southern alberta.

I heard the people over by where Ron lives eat cod tongue or something....? I dunno about them easterners

I think here in the U S it is more of regional foods than a country food.

Here in maryland the local favorite is crabs - crab soup , crab fritters , steamed crabs , etc...

I think our national food would be mcdonalds lol!

Here in NJ we are known for Jersey Corn and Jersey Tomatoes... not a food dish, but that is our state's best fare. New Jersey is also known to have the most Diners anywhere.

I don't think we have a National dish.

I guess Andrea is right, probably here in the states, it would have to be Mc Donalds, LOL LOL.

I was also thinking pizza. I know around here there is a pizzeria just a stone's throw from each other!!

I've been thinking about this and what came to mind was Meat Pies, Vegemite, Lamingtons, ANZAC biscuits and BBQ's lol cause it's too darn hot to cook inside during summer.
