So excited
To remove this ad please Register
We are leaving for a week long cruise on sunday .
This will be mine & hubby's second cruise but the first for my 3 kids . My 2 youngest kids( 6 & 8) are so excited they are bouncing off the walls .maybe it is because of the all you can eat ice cream . My oldest (12) does not seem to care - if anyone else has a pre-teen girl you will know what I mean .
My husbands brother will be getting married on the boat , so that will be exciting .
We will be going to Grand Caymen , Belieze, Isle of Roatan & Mexico .
Great week for us but poor Edy will be staying at the kennel .

What fun! Hope you all have a great time. Poor Edy - how does she go in the kennel? Ruby may have to be boarded at some stage this year, thinking about it makes me nervous.

ROFL I have a nearly 11 year old who seems to think that everything is uncool (especially her Dad, siblings and I). Sometimes I think the house could fall down around her and she would still be sitting there with her headphones in and a sullen look on her face oblivious to it all. I have really noticed a HUGE difference in her attitude the last few months and the idea of what is yet to come is terrifying DH and I

I would start looking for a kennel now . I know it took me months to find one I was comfortable with . Edy has only been kenneled once , she did fine . my others had been kenneled a few times and they too did fine .
They came home a bit stinky ( dog smell) but they did fine .
I find it important to find a kennel that will keep your dogs together in the same run, one that knows the boxer presonality , And that does not allow strange dogs to play with each other . Oh yeah not all will feed a raw diet and accept titers - so that is something to be sure to ask .
OMG you described my daughter exactly , headphones on the look and oblivious to all else .

I have a great place to board my dogs. It was obviously a house that they turned into a boarding place. They naturally separate the smaller dogs from the larger ones, 2 main rooms. No cages. They all just hang out like in a regular living room. There is someone with them at all times, even sleeping with them in bunk beds. There are sofas, living room chairs and dog beds in these rooms, so my dogs are just like being at home. Of course have an outside area for them to go out to play too. Only had to use it once so far when we went out of state for a wedding, but will definitely go back there again if needed. We had to take them in for a pre trial visit, to make sure they behaved with other dogs.

I started looking last year and have found a few that will feed whatever I will provide so Raw is no issue there, Ruby just had her booster shots - I had to get her the kennel cough one too (wasn't real pleased but what can you do) and I've narrowed it down to three that don't do shared boarding (some of them will only do shared boarding - with dogs that don't know each other, I read about two dogs that lived together that were boarded together in the same kennel, they turned on each other one night and one died so the idea of her sharing with an unknown dog - no thank you), but they get group playtime. So I just have to organise to go out there and have a look and talk.
On the pre teen thing mine announced last night "don't worry about me I've been random all day" lol where do they come up with this stuff????
