If I only could have graduated two years later

A little background, I was supposed to graduate with my BA in 2008. Got slowed down and didn't finish until last spring. DH and I both went to the University of Michigan and loved Ann Arbor. We both found jobs here after graduation. We are now living well away from the "college" part of the town, but we are still within walking distance to the stadium where graduation will be held.
When I graduated the speaker was Bob Woodruff. This year guess who they got? President Obama. I am just beyond jealous. I am really hoping to find a way to get tickets. I'm nearly positive the motorcade will be driving literally right by our apartment. I'm thinking we should dress Keepers up in a costume and wave

Firstly, congrats on graduating - what subject was your BA in? Secondly, sorry to be so ignorant, but who is Bob Woodruff???? Oh, and thirdly, yes, pity you couldn't have Obama. Generally speaking, he is quite liked over here too.

Thanks Doreen for that link, that's some story. He sounds like quite a guy, I bet his talks are pretty inspirational too.

He was a great speaker! Certainly a lucky guy and obviously a good speaker from his news days.
I think it would be so cool to see a president in real life. I try to stay away from politics, as I'm pretty middle of the road and don't like when things get heated, but no one can deny that president Obama has made history.
