Next weekend is our long weekend.

This weekend my baby is graduating from High School. We have a big party planned. I can't wait!

My plan is to go to my brother's house to help him have a garage sale. I hate the thoughts, but will do it for him. Sitting or standing around outside all day hoping someone rides by to buy something.

It is not a long weekend this weekend in the US.... that is next weekend.
Then we are going up to my sister in laws for a BBQ on that Sunday.

My daughter will go to a State University and get a teaching degree. She wants to be an elementary education teacher. She is toying with the idea of special education but is not sure. She sat in a special ed class this year at the junior high level for the emotionally and mentally handicapped and realized she doesn't want to do it at that level.

I can't believe we will be empty-nesters come this fall. (shaking head)

That is great. Don't worry, it is nice to be an empty nester, LOL.
My daughter is a teacher too (along with so many others in my family) and she works with the kids that have learning disabilities and are troublesome so are state mandated to go to her school. She has taken alot of abuse (accidentally) with these kids. Chairs thrown at her while she was in the middle of breaking up a fight, etc. But she loves it and they love her so she keeps on doing it. These are 7th graders through high school level. It can be very rewarding.

A bit late but .
This past weekend we dropped Edy off at her boyfriends house .
A 7 hour drive each way with 3 kids can make a VERY long trip .

That must be hard to leave your dog at someone else's place. How long do you normally have to leave a dog for breeding purposes?

It depends . Some breeders will leave the dog from the beginning of the season ( to be sure they have the female there in enough time ) until they no longer stand for the stud .

I had been doing progesterone testing since she first came into season . So going by the levels of hormones you can tell when the best time to breed is .And how long you have before you should get them to the stud .

Most likely she will only be gone a week .
It is hard to leave her but I would never do it if I did not trust the stud owner 100% .

This moring I did not know what to do with the extra time I had . No letting her out of fixing her food .
