Default Did You Feel The Earthquake Today?

There was an earthquake here in Ontario and some parts of the US.

I was sitting at my desk and i felt like a waving sensation. It was a very odd feeling, i couldn't tell if my head was spinning or what was happening. It was just a very slight movement though.

Did you feel it in your neck of the woods?

They said it was felt in northern NJ, but I didn't feel it here in central Jersey. I just heard on the news the New York city, the rats were scurrying into the streets, LOL.

I'll have to ask DH when he comes home from work if he felt anything in NY city.

Yes, I was sitting at my computer when it happened. Buddy started growling. At first it felt like I had vertigo or something. We live on the southwest side of Michigan, by Lake Michigan.

Well obviously not over here, but I am surprised there was nothing on the news about it - I guess it has to be major before they think it worth reporting. Glad it was only minor though and that no one was hurt or anything like that.

It is certainly an unsettling feeling---especially (I think) when you live in an area that doesn't get them often. My friend was on vacation down in LA a couple of weeks ago when they had the 5.something one in San Diego. She was in her hotel by Disneyland, and said she felt a bit dizzy and thought she was sick until she saw the lamp moving! The security guards at the gate to the park were talking the next morning, and said the bigger rides like Indiana Jones, Pirates, Space Mountain, etc have automatic shut-offs when a quake starts, but all the others are manual. He said it took them about 45 minutes to get everything up and running again---and they are used to it!!
Glad no one was hurt up there in Ontario!
