canada day celebrations are dependant on where you live, places like vancouver have massive blow outs with fireworks and parades and parties in the street... places like where i live in fort st john, PLAN to have fireworks and parades but then cancel them for no reason which just leaves alot of people with alot of free time and alchahol... we do have bbqs as well but the idea of the holiday is lost to most the people in my area at least, its just another opportunity to drink

I have never heard of Canada Day either, so thanks for that explanation Ares.
  I know 4 July is Independence Day, so it is a good reason to celebrate. Hope you all have a great day.

on canada day we had a parade and bbqs at the legion etc. etc. same as you guys do! big party to celebrate what else but the country we live in.
