Default Earthquake

At about 5 am Dave and I were woken up by a weird rumbling noise and the house shaking ( and it takes a lot to wake Dave up) . It lasted about 10-15 seconds .I believe my exact words were " what the hell is that " We sometimes have army planes that fly over really low and make things rattle bit this was different and I knew it was something weird . I drag my butt out of bed bacause I can not sleep now- I check the kids and take Edy out since she is now walking around . I sit down to watch t v and sure enough it is all over the news a 3.6 earthquake , with the epicenter being not too far away from us .

Now I can add experiencing an earthquake to things I have done , seen or been in .

And I have to say it did not seen to bother Edy at all . I woke up and she was just walking around the house , not a peep out of her . When I let her out there were tons of dogs still barking like crazy .

Wow.... I'm surprised I didn't catch that on Good morning America this morning, but I have to admit, I didn't get to watch much of it... was busy getting ready to go out this morning once DH gets home from the gym.

I felt the same one Ron did here in Michigan. Very strange - like vertigo.

I have been in a few when I lived in Alaska. It is an eerie feeling and the first one scared me to death! Glad it was only a small one!

I heard about that this morning--very rare in your neck of the woods, they said. Here in Oregon we get them infrequently and usually small ones--not like those hardy souls in California! Down there it has to be what we'd consider a BIG ONE before they even mention it!

Crazy way to wake up tho--isn't it?

I am glad to say I have never felt an earthquake, I can imagine it must be quite frightening, glad you are okay though and that Edy wasn't bothered by it.
