what do you think of "poo's"

all the mixes nowadays are driving me insane.and not just the poodle ones either im talking about all these "pugle", dauchi", "maltichi" and every other dog with a ridiculous name. the other day i actually saw a boxoodle, yeah thats right a boxer-poodle!! i mean what is the point to all these dogs. and yes i know that every breed came from mixing other breeds together but those were all for a purpose, and to make a better breed in some way. i mean if you want a low allergy dog just get a normal poodle. now if its an accident and you have some little mix puppies, or if they are just mutts then fine but i just think that it is really dumb for people to be mixing all these dogs just to make money.. sorry for the rant but it just makes me so mad. GRRRR. what does everyone here think about this?

Wow... boxer-poodle... I don't know how attractive that would be... I'm not into all those mixes either... I do think they are out to make money also. Maybe people are just bored and don't know what else to do with their minds, LOL.

I wonder if they would pick up the yappy little poodle trait.
I am not knocking poodles.... they are fine if that is what you like, everyone has their own taste. I just like short haired dogs first of all and love the look of boxers.... not to mention their personalities, LOL.
Can you tell I love boxers?

LOL - you don't want to know what I thought when I read the subject line - I thought it was a discussion about poos..............
There is a labradoodle at my training class - she hates Ruby so I have to keep Ruby well away from her. That said, she is a very bright dog - she picks up things much quicker than Ruby does.
What do I think of these mixes - well I walk one these new-fangled dogs - a puggle - pug x beagle - he is a pain in the bum to be quite honest - he has all the worst points of both breeds - poor recall, barking at things, strong willed etc. If people want to fool themselves that they are buying a "designer dog" that is going to have the best attributes of each breed, that isn't always the case, believe me.

I also think you get so many different outcomes on looks of them. When you see a boxer, or any one breed, you generally know what it is. With mixes, you don't know what kind of look you are going to get. I've seen so many Pugles and you never see the same looking one twice, LOL. They do make cute puppies though.... once they grow up... that is when you see the big change.
If I want a mutt, I would just go to the pound to pick one out there, not pay good money to get a dog that looks like a mutt, LOL.

They're mutts, plain and simple. It is just a fad / money making opportunity targeted to people who are trying to be trendy. Until I see "Labradoodle" on the list of AKC breeds, I'll stick to my guns on this one.

I have had or known around a dozen - maybe more - poodles and none of them were yippy because they were standard poodles. The yippy ones are the little inbreds that are toys - maybe miniatures, I don't have as much experience with them. The toy sized ones are almost like a different breed, imho. They just kept inbreeding to make them smaller and they got really neurotic.
I like some of the doodle dogs I've seen. Very cute and great temperaments. Now it might just be that anyone laying out that kind of money is pretty committed to training their dog, I don't know. But I wouldn't mind one.

labradoodles.. i do kind like them , but they are the only ones, and i can see the opint of mixing them together, at least they are both sporting dogs, very smart and have the same general temperment. but those are about the only ones i think are ok. and they are cute, but all the other ones are either ugly or look exactly the same as each other
oh and i do actually like the standard poodle, they are always very nice and not at all yippy. but the toys and minis are just dumb, at least the ones i have met are.
