Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all. It was a nice quiet day here for us. Hubby, my father in law and I went down the shore to a restaurant that we like to go on the boardwalk and I had a great Prime Rib dinner with mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, a nice big salad, peas & carrots, pearl onions. Lots of food. Took half of it home.... just way too much food. I am not a fan of turkey or pumpkin pie.... I know... so unAmerican, LOL LOL.... Came home and had coconut custard pie and pumpkin for my hubby and father in law, then it was just lay around and watch tv shows that we recorded. My kind of day. Not a dish or pot in the sink for me to clean up, LOL.

happy thanksgiving to all of you too. i had kind of a rough day. its no fun if your in a huge hurry all day long. dinner at my family's was at noon so we had to get right up and and get ready then leave, there were close to 50 people there and the house is not very big so it was very noisy and hot and loud, we left there at about 3 and had to be back here for dinner at my hubby's family by 4. so straight there, visit for a min then eat and leave. so it was a very long day. i would rather just relax on my thanksgiving and order out. fat chance at that ever happening.

I hear yah... for easter and thanks giving we rotate grand parents.. for chrustmas we do it at our house. I't actually easier cooking a turkey dinner than it is trying to run to both grand parents house in one day!

That's why I am at the stage now where I can relax and be the grandparent. I did all that running from one grandparent to the next. I tell my kids, don't worry about coming to my house on a holiday. I see them plenty all week long... don't NEED to see them on the holiday to stress them out, they have other family that gives them grief if they don't see them, LOL LOL LOL. I see them on Christmas Eve and that's enough holiday for me, LOL LOL LOL. All the rest of the holidays don't matter to me. I think that is why my daughter in law and I get along so well.
