Rat Girlies - an explanation
To remove this ad please Register
To those who were wondering what on earth my "rat girlies" are I shall explain.
I own 3 female rats and they live in a HUGE cage in my living room. I do mean huge, this thing could hold 8 rats but theres only 3 in there. LOL I bought them 5 months ago when they were 8 weeks old, one is a black rat called Belle and the other two are blue rats (they are more of a grey blue colour) and they are Fawn and Silvermist (she has fuzzy fur and a just out of bed look).
They are quite funny, one is a pain in the backside and bites a bit, but the other two are lovely and friendly and very inteligent.
So there you are, my "rat girlies" explained for those of you who were a bit lost with the lingo used.

And why no rats in Alberta anyway? I use to live there and what they lack in rats, they make up for in gofers

Yeah, we have 4 rats and they live in a critter nation, large and they are litter box trained. Because we also have Dachshunds, our ratties NEVER see our dogs ha ha ha

All other little animals are cute.... I keep seeing ferrets in Petco and would love them too, but I am not getting any other kind of pet! I have a cockatiel (18 years now!) and I am so tired of cleaning up poop from dogs and birds and seeds and food all over the floors... no more extra animals for me. We had other birds before too! This is the last one left and he keeps hangin on, LOL LOL....

I'm not sure... I know we have rat patrol and obviously pet rats are banned.
Gophers were bad last year... this year the badgers *which eat gophers* were bad

Well, of course, that would be another reason I wouldn't get a ferret, but they are SO cute!!!!
As it is, I have the poor bird up so high, we can hardly see him anymore. Poor Vern's cage is up next to the clock out of reach from the puppies.
