Oh thanks for thinking of me Stephanie, we are fine. We only got slugged with the heat wave that broke a 150 year old record, but the rain came on Sunday which has brought a lovely (and much needed) cool change. Just been really busy and exhausted - 5:00 am starts to get both the dogs walked before it gets too hot to go out and lots of running around now school and swimming is back (they also started taekwondo) not much time left for me lol. Unfortunately looks like I wont be on much at all this year - crazy, crazy schedule. I did want to ask you though, DH was wondering what time of year would be best to go to England? He wants to do a white christmas there - I told him you said that it is crazy when it snows there, I personally would rather see England when it is spring or autumn and all lovely and colourful. We are currently trying to convince each other where we should go this year lol - he is trying to convince me to go to England and I am trying to convince him that New Zeland would be gorgeous in winter - snow!!!!! But knowing us we probably wont be able to make our minds up and stay in Oz lol.

I'm glad you are ok, which part of Australia are you in Gizelle? I always think about you whenever the news starts mentioning the weather in Australia - I think it must be big news as Australia rarely gets a mention for anything else other than the cricket ofcourse.

I have to agree with you - Spring and Autumn are the best time for a visit here - both are really beautiful. It is extremely rare to get an actual white Christmas - the year before last we got most of the snow in February. It's only been the last 2 winters that we have actually even had any snow - before this it was some years between snow falls if my memory serves me right.

Owww, it be lovely if you came over - it would be so nice to meet you in person. You are welcome to stop here with us if you wanted to do the London sightseeing bit.

You want a white Christmas, come to Michigan AussieGirl! We'd love to see you too! And bring Ruby!!!

Lake Michigan is frozen up pretty good right now - at least anywhere near the shore. Here's a webcam pic of the channel at Holland State Park. It's snowing so much right now you can hardly see it, but in the summer it's full of boats and swimmers and people fishing off the pier.

I do like four distinct seasons, but a little more sunshine with the snow would be nice.

LOL if we went to the States DH would end up spending the whole time looking for a project to ship home - I have already found him online looking at old mustangs and split oval vw beetles over there.

Well then tell him Holland is about a 3 hour drive from Detroit, aka "Motor City", home of Ford, GM and Chrysler. Michigan is also home to the Gilmore Car Museum, considered one of the TOP FIVE car museums in the nation. That's only about 1 hr 20 minute drive from us.

And you can just hang out at the beach with Buddy
and take in the beauty of Lake Michigan and the world's largest fresh water dunes while dh does all that shopping.

I had no idea I could use so many icons in one message!

CANADA is the ONLY place for winter, dear. We can take you right to the north pole! And I would recommend Sweden, in Kiruna, the IceHotel is REALLY neat, and there you will BE IN THE NORTH POLE! well north cirle anyways but super cool with dogsledding and caribou and ice sculptures.....definitely white for christmas! Stockholm is supposedly a gorgeous city too. I think there is an IceHotel in Quebec (frenchie Canada) too!
