Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Anyone making Corned Beef, Cabbage and Potatoes today? Not me. Ron doesn't like it. I'm not crazy about corned beef either. I made a tiny boiled ham (which he doesn't like either) a couple weeks ago, so don't feel like having it again.

I just came from the grocery store... decided to make Pasta Fagioli, got a nice fresh loaf of Italian bread from the bakery, since that is my husband's favorite food, LOL. My Irish mother in law ( her last name "Murphy") thinks she's Italian, LOL... so she mostly cooks Italian food, so that is what he likes. I will make myself cabbage and noodles tomorrow and he can have the leftover Pasta fagioli again.
My mother in law will make Corned beef, cabbage and potatoes today though.

My hubby's ancestry is Irish--need I say more? Plus, his birthday is tomorrow. Saturday I will spend my day 'boiling meat' and making soda bread, colcannon, etc, and then Sunday we will take it over to his mom's for the birthday extravaganza. Probably have about 10 people---and they all love corned beef and cabbage!

I made corned beef yesterday... It was on sale a few days ago so I impulsively bought it haha! I think I'm going to try and make my own sometime, corning it and everything. I like experiments ha!
I did make a Polish cabbage and pasta dish the other day... My fave!

I think Polish and Hungarian make the same kind of dishes. I Love Cabbage and noodles, stuffed cabbage, periogies, kielbasy and saurkraut... there must be more, but I just can't think of any right now.

My sister-in-law is Irish, she will no doubt be enjoying many pints of guiness later on this evening. My great grandmother was Irish too. I meant to wear something green today, I think it's meant to be lucky to do that, but I totally forgot, never mind.
