How did you decide on your Boxer's name?

Just curious--how did you pick your dog's name? With Wally, we decided to take him, but had a week's reprieve (used to 'puppy proof' the house!) during whlch time we made lists of names that we considered. Since he's 1/2 English Bulldog, I was thinking about more 'burly' names like 'Tank', 'Dozer', etc. But none felt quite right. When we went back to pick him up, we had narrowed it down to about 3-4 names--but when we saw him we knew Wally was the right one! It just seems to fit him!

we knew we were getting Bo like 4 weeks before he was ready to come home, so we talked about it alot, they had been calling him Jack, which we actually liked. but while talking about it i asked my hubby who his fave football coach was and he said "Bo" something or other(idk) and i said OH i like that so then it was down to Bo or jack.. we picked him up and were trying out both names, well since he was a present for my son 2nd b-day we asked him what which one he wanted to call his new puppy and he said "BO BO BO!!!" so thats what we went with

Rex and Coco came to me with those names, and I didn't feel the need to change them. They did have Coco spelled with an "a" on the end, but I dropped it, just because..... LOL. I might have been watching the TV movie Coco Chanel at the time, LOL LOL LOL.

My lot came with their names out of rescue and I couldn't think of any other names so they got stuck with them. Even now if I try and think what I would change their names too, I still have no idea, so it was a good job they were already named really.

Let's see-
Edy - the litter had an ice cream theme ( I love Edy's ice cream) . So her registered name is Bruin's Espresso by Stephlyn . Espresso is a flavor I love and Stephlyn is from her sire's kennel name.
Remy - a rock band theme litter .He was color coded orange at birth , R.E.M sings orange crush which is what we started calling him after a while. So R.E.M.y just made sense.
His registered name is Bruin's One Step Closer .
Charlotte - was named by her breeder and I kept it because we could not agree on anything else . Her registered name was Majestic's Dare to dream .
Titan - I wanted a strong name and we had family joke about my husband being Zeus so we picked Titan . His registered name was Damas's mighty Titan .

hahaha newman ... i love that
maverick & goose came from topgun! it was weird because i had actually never seen the movie before and after I got maverick, i picked the name off of the internet.
when i got goose, everyone told me to name him goose based off of topgun, so i did and finally decided to watch the movie. after watching the movie it's crazy to me how similiar my two are to the actual top gun characters...
goose is silly and hilarious like the one in the movie, and maverick is more in control and serious ... i cant think of 2 better names for mine!
p.s my next step is to get a mean little kitty, and name him iceman!

SHENZI!
My boyfriend and I wanted to name our new puppy after an animal character (since every dog we've ever had in our lives had been such, or from a disney movie), so it came down to Rabbit, from Winnie the Pooh, or Shenzi, from the Lion King. The bf hated Rabbit haha, so Shenzi it was! She has really grown into her name!
