I have a question...

Last night I literally had the most amazing dream I've ever had and I'm wondering whether this was because I was listening to music whilst asleep. Generally people think the dream is related to the music you're listening to, but I can tell you if it was my dream would not have been this amazing considering my iPod consists of many different genres such as emo, punk, metal, techno, pop, R n B, rap, country... and so on. The question I'm asking is do you think that listening to music while asleep, creates better dreams?

nope. i think your dreams are what they are and would be that way no matter what... my dreams always have to do with what had happend to me lately. like the other day just befor bed me and hubby were discussing how we hadnt seen any bats in the house yet this year and that night i had a dream that a giant bat came and attacked us... but i do not think music will effect a dream

Ah kay yeah. With the dreams I usually have, I'd rather not have them. Most revolve around me being tortured and/or dying. It was nice to have a good dream for once haha.

I have precognitive dreams, I once dreamed I was in a building and a large Angus Bull was at the other end, I held up against the wall and he walked toward me, I could hear his hooves and when he got close enough I could feel his breath and smell him, it was a very awful dream, but what was the worst is, on the news that morning a farmer had been killed by a bull.

I have dreams that are tied to what I read or watched on TV just before bed. Anyone remember X-Files? Finally had to quit watching 'cause it got too creepy and then I'd continue the story! My dad would have precognition events though--and also could 'feel' bad vibes when something had happened in a place. It was really eerie.

I don't know whether dreams are related in any way to the music you listen to, I think dreams are just your minds way of dealing with things that don't make sense - our eyes take in lots of things throughout the day but your brain cannot link them together, when you are sleeping the brain does it's best to make sense of it all and that's what dreams are about. I also think that things that worry/stress us can come out in our dreams - in one way or another. I also believe that some people are able to dream predictive dreams - Marylou how scarey was that dream..? I don't really remember my dreams, so they can't be anything exciting.
Also, what on earth is emo music? lol, lol, I am abit of a dinosaur, I have never heard of that one!

Hmmmm yeah true, I'm starting to think that I just had a random fantastic dream that night cause music has had no effect on my dreams since. Kind of a pitty though lol.
Emo is pretty much like punk music, same sort of stuff.

Annie has crazy dreams where she can remember vivid details. If i don't think of my dreams as soon as i wake up, i forget them
