Default Christmas coming around again.......

I was in the high street yesterday, and quite a few shops have their trees up already 2 of the main department stores have all their Christmas gifts & foods set out with a couple of shelves in the corner for Halloween gifts - Halloween is not such a big thing over here though. I am still in summer mode what with the weather being warm & can't even think about Christmas. But what's it like where you are? are your shops as ready as we are? Have you seen any trees or decorations up yet? Have you even thought about Christmas?

I begin to ponder Christmas on Dec 24th. Its a shame the rest of my city could not take my lead on this one.

I refuse to THINK about Christmas until Halloween is over--but the stores are already putting up shelves of decorations, etc. I try to start shopping in earnest after Thanksgiving.

I saw that Costco already has some of their Christmas stuff out. I was thinking of getting my outside lights up now while it isnt freezing outside. Of course I won't turn them on until Dec, lol.

Yup. I was at Costco last night and a large area is devoted to Christmas Trees, wrapping paper, etc--at least they don't have the repetitive Christmas Music machine turned on yet!

I hate that they start throwing it at us so soon. Takes away the fun for me when we didn't even have Halloween yet. I don't even have my Halloween decor out this year because it is all stored up high & some out in a shed.... I obviously can't do all that now right after my surgery, but I will still celebrate by the time it rolls around, LOL.

My daughter in law said Costco around here had Christmas out before I even went for my surgery & that was Sept 20th!!!! I can only imagine what Target & Walmart must look like by now too.

I don't like to shop, so I dread Christmas shopping. I am an online shopper! I love to give gifts though. Just don't like all the hype..... Gets me all hyper, LOL...since I never feel prepared enough.
