I made my first trip out shopping yesterday.... now I know why I dread "going out" shopping. They decided to do road work on the highway where all the stores and before the mall.... I sat in bumper to bumper traffic. It took me 45 minutes to get from one town to the next just down the highway which normally only takes me less than 10 minutes. I was expecting to see an accident, but then I saw the sign saying "roadwork, 1 mile ahead" of course the sign was right where I was getting off the highway at the first set of stores.
Every year I buy my grandsons these Hess trucks from the gas station. That was on my way down the highway. I pulled into the gas station and the sign on the door said "cash only for the trucks". Well, I didn't have an extra $60 on me. The bank was across the street and no way was I going to fight traffic to turn around and come back again, LOL. I had planned on going to the bank on my way home anyway. So by the time I was done with my big Christmas shopping of only buying one of my 2 items!!! That was all I was going out for. It was dark out, but I did come home with the coffee pod holder and 2 Hess trucks! Oh... I had also done grocery shopping after buying the coffee pod holder too.
This is why I like to shop online!!!!

Oh what a nightmare Doreen - what is coffee pod holder? I really don't like shopping but I can't get the hang of ordering things off the internet for presants either. I do like to go and see what I am buying, pick it up, fiddle around with it, make sure the packaging is nice etc.
I got my tree up - yahoooo - first time I ever got it up this early....

How pretty Stephanie. Ron put ours up yesterday. Nothing to it. I don't decorate it, LOL. I like the way it looks as is. I came with big lights, it is lightly frosted with snow with little pine cones too. He put a star on top and that's it, LOL. I've never put anything else on, except for a couple things my grandson made over the years, because I have too, LOL.
This year I am hoping I won't need the fence around it!!! We shall see what happens once I go out and leave them alone. I haven't even seen them near the tree once yet, so maybe they finally thought to leave it alone.... I think what they go for is the pine cones that are glued on in the tree. If I remember, that is what I saw on the floor all the times when I left them alone. Just like they find outside and chew on the pine cones too!

You have to put a picture up of the tree Doreen, I know you probably did last year but I don't remember how it looks...........I don't give mine the chance to wreck the tree, it is on the table now out of their reach. As I was decorating it, Roddy was a little bit too interested in the baubles for my liking............

I am trying to post the photos, but Image shack is having difficulty. I did happen to get a photo of each dog in front of the tree. Only by chance for Rex because he wanted to go out and the tree is by the back doors, LOL. As he heard me close the blinds so it wouldn't be so bright in the room, he came running, thinking I was opening the doors, which to him, means he can go outside too! LOL.

A coffe (K-cup, named by the Keurig company) pod is a little pod that you put into a coffee pot that will allow you to brew one cup of coffee. They come in many flavors. I am not a coffee drinker, so don't know too much about it all, but I did get the kids a Keurig coffee maker last year for Christmas that takes these pods. So this carousel holds the little pods so you can see all your flavors easily. I attached a photo, along with a photo of the Hess trucks I purchased for the little ones.

Here is Rex, just saying... I only want to go outside Mom!!!! No photos please!
Coco is so dark, she hardly shows up.
Here, I lightened up the photo.... she looks thrilled, doesn't she, LOL.
I tried with flash, without flash.... with blinds open...etc. I just can't get a good shot of tree with lights in daylight, LOL.

Aww, thanks so much for putting up the pictures Doreen. Neither Graham nor I drink coffee either so we are pretty clueless about it all, still, now that you explained and I can see the picture at least I have some idea what you are talking about.
Your Christmas tree looks great, I think the second picture shows the tree up best but as you say you don't see Coco so well. I love all the coloured lights on it & I love the skirt too & ofcourse seeing your Rex and Coco posing so nicely...
Doreen I am curious about image shack - I know it is going off-topic abit but how does that work? Is it like photobucket? Some days photobucket drives me mad, it is so slow and it hangs alot as well.
