yeah they can get stuck in your boxer throat, especially the raw hides with the nobs on the end. If you want to give your dog a bone-like treat, i would suggest giving him an actual bone.
the bone MUST BE raw.... and welcome to the forum

I had to pull a raw-hide out of my dog's throat before. If I wasn't around, I'm not sure what would have happened.
I've also noticed, for what ever reason, a raw-hide can bring the worst out in a dog. This is particularly true when there are two dogs involved. We were visiting a friend who has a lab and they gave the dogs a raw-hide each. The lab got very possessive of the treats and bit our dog. I've spoken to a lot of people who have had similar experiences. |

Wow, I didn't know a dog could choke on a rawhide bone. Thanks for the info! I'll be getting rid of all my rawhides now.
