I just received my box of Preference mix from THK !!!! Rex has been sniffing the carton so much I had a hard time opening it. There was also a box of buffalo/blueberry treats in there. I gave him two little bite sized treats and naturally he loves them and wants more.......
just reading the instructions and gotta go try it out!

Once I add water, does that all have to be used, or can I put the unused in the fridge? Since I don't know what I'm doing yet, I'm afraid I might make too much at once.
Never mind... I see to put excess in the fridge or discard.

Glad he liked it!!! Did you add meat?
You can keep the unused food for up to 24 hours in the fridge. If you need it to last longer you can freeze it.
Hopefully he will have near instant results, like Keepers did. But his system may be a bit stressed right now because of new foods and transitions, so give him at least 10 days before making a real decision.
Sending solid poops thoughts for the boy!

Yes, I went back to ground turkey... I was afraid beef wasn't agreeing with him.
Well, I got a nice big box. I think it will last longer than I expected. I wasn't counting on it hydrating again and making so much more, LOL.
I will definitely give it a good chance!

Well.... no such luck yet on a good poop, LOL.. as a matter of fact, DH said his stomach was making so much noise this morning. Poor Rex has been running out all morning and not even making it to the grass!! I cleaned up one spot that looked like thick slimy milk. I had seen something like that on my carpet, but I thought maybe he vomited a little. Actually it was just dripping out of his butt while he was walking. It was even shocking him. He kept looking back there, like... what is that?
I know it is waaaayyy to soon, but I was sort of hoping... one can hope, can't one? LOL.

Try fasting him for a day. Keepers stomach was SO loud our first day on raw. We fasted him and the next day he was fine. You description sounds just like Keepers' detox. We got home from errands and didn't know if he had vomited or had a BM on the floor.
