Make sure that the food you choose is appropriate for your dog's stage of life. A puppy eating an adult food will not get the higher amount of calories, protein, vitamins, and minerals he needs for proper growth.

Very true. Do you feel it's also important to change to a senior dog food as your dog gets older?

i think it depends on the dog, and the food you have him on. Some premium foods are nutritious enough for older dogs.
