What To Feed New Boxer Puppy

Hi I am new here. I just got a new puppy on Saturday. He is a 10 week old boxer.

I'm wondering what food he should be eating. Do puppies really need to eat puppy food? And if so, what is the best brand?

Well, I don't know that puppies MUST eat puppy food. Obviously they'll live on adult food, but puppy food does have special nutrients and more calories for the faster growth of a puppy. It's like a human baby...we don't feed them baked beans the day they're born. (At least most of us don't, lol.)

I started Ali out on Purina Puppy Chow, and now he eats Purina Dog Chow. Some people prefer more expensive brands, but I think Ali's thriving on Purina.

I'm sure your pup would be fine on adult food, but I do recommend food specially made for your puppy. The puppy foods are specially formulated for the high energy, fast growth needs of puppies.

Pups really do need Puppy food because it has all the nutrients needed for your puppy to grow every day. normal adult food does not have the right stuff because your adult dog will be done growing )
