when we got Bo he was on Iams puppy, and gosh did he fart alot and his poo smelled terrible, and it was a little soft. well we had started switching him to blue buffalo puppy food, and it was crazy, i know that when you switch food their poo is suposed to get worse for a couple days but his actually got alot better right away, and he is now switched completly over and his poo is much less smelly and a better consistency and he farts alot less and they are less stinky too. i just thought it was crazy how much better its gotten. i used to think iams was good, but this sure showed me.

Glad Bo's doing better!!! You're right, the food makes all the difference - we are what we eat!

iams has good marketing but if you read reviews by Whole Dog Journal or dogfoodanalyis.com you will find them in the lowest group. I'm familiar with Blue Wilderness, but haven't heard of Blue Buffalo.

Where in Michigan are you at, btw? I'm in Holland, on the southwest side.

its actually called just Blue, but blue buffalo sounds better, but it is the same company. im in eaton rapids. in case you've never heard of it its a very small little town just north of jackson and east of charlotte.

Okay, I see now that Blue is the company that makes Blue Wilderness too. I didn't realize that. They're a good company. It's easy to see now why Bo would be doing so much better on that than the iams. Check out their comparison! Good for you for switching.

Eaton Rapids is about 2 hrs from Holland. Small world!

So glad you found something that works for him! We did Blue Buffalo for a while with Boo, our Boston, when she was young. She had been on Pro Plan and was throwing up after every meal. Once she switched over she never threw up again (well, unless the little trouble maker got into something she shouldn't). They are a really nice company too.

gosh the farts were the worst! they were like gag you, make you hold your breath bad and they were all the time. but although he does still fart, its only like once in a while and it doesnt smell nearly as much.
