Haha Erin! Someone had to say it! I agree with you though, those things smell quite unfortunate...

Sorry you had to go through all that Keeper, sounds like a scary experience! Just goes to show that every dog is different - some react badly to typical things while it doesn't phase others. You just have to know your dog and decide from there.

I know Rex well enough since the very first time he swallowed a fabric stuffed ball. This was his favorite toy, at the time. He took out all the stuffing and I didn't see the outter part anywhere. I had Ron help me move every piece of furniture around looking for the fabric from that ball and couldn't find it anywhere. I had a feeling he must have swallowed it. I kept watching him and when he got off our bed in the middle of the night, I woke and heard him vomiting, and there came that whole piece of fabric ball. We were so lucky that it came out and didn't get stuck anywhere. I never let him have any kind of toy like that again! I did try the super tough stuffed kind that are supposed to be indestructible but needless to say, he tore through those too. Now only nylabones, gallileo bones or Kong type rubber products in this house!!!

I'd not heard of Galileo bones before. I just google'd them and they look like a nylabone. Are they basically that?

Nylabones last Buddy forever because he really doesn't care for them much. Even the flavored ones. The only one he likes is this round, textured one

When I first opened it I thought I'd wasted my money because even though he likes chewing on knobby things, this thing felt like a piece of PVC tubing - I thought he'd hate it! But I think it's the nubs he can't ignore.

But I'm curious about the Galileo now.

Miss Power Chewer at our house LOVES the nylabone dental dinos. They are so hard we worry about here teeth cracking. She gets antlers every day and the nylabone a few times a week.

Gallileo is even tougher than nylabones for those who even can destroy nylabones. I only had one of those. Not too popular with the dogs.
