Default How much do you feed your puppy?

It has been at least ten years or so since I had a puppy. Amber is 8 weeks old and weighs 5 1/2 pounds. (She was the "runt" of the litter.) The vet says she's fine and healthy, but she eats about a cup of moistened kibble each day. Is that enough? I feed her about three times a day, and she's on the same kibble as the breeder had her on.

Rhea I have no idea about how much you feed puppies......I guess you follow the recommendations on the dog food packet and judge by how Amber is doing. You could always speak with the breeder and ask her for some advice. Most good breeders shouldn't mind you asking follow on questions.

When we got Shiva at 6 weeks(a little early, I know) we started out feeding her about 1 cup to 1 1\2 cups at each feeding(twice a day). She did great with that. It's getting her to eat more now that she's older is my problem.

What kind of food do you feed?

Good luck!!

Have you tried switching to RAW?
I was browsing here and there just to know things. When their dogs were turning to adult, they start to shift them. I also did the same with my previous dog, a german shorthaired pointer.. She died at 12 age. Now my friends told me to get a boxer, but i need a little more research.
