I give my two raw meaty bones. It scrapes the tartar off their teeth and they love them.

Please stay away from Greenies. No matter what the company says they do NOT digest.

Many pet stores in my area sell frozen bones in the freezer case they have raw frozen diets in. Depending on where you live you could check out small independent pet stores for those. You can also go to a butcher and ask for "dog bones." They aren't the same as soup bones but I imagine most butchers know what you're talking about. Mine love lamb femur bones and buffalo knee caps (weird, right?).

You could also feed something like regular raw chicken wings. The dog will chew up the bone and this will clean the teeth. Just make sure to never feed cooked bones.

I give my boxer femurs from the pet store, I don't know what its from though

But I herd that the reason why you can not give your dogs cooked bones is because they splinter and can seriously harm the dog. Is this the case?
