everyone should read the ingredients on their dog foof labels. The first ingredient shoud always be a protein source...which should be chicken meal...or another meat meal

i think carb source is important too. If i remember right, rice or oatmeal are the best carb sources for dogs.

We look for no corn, no wheat and no biproducts. I also look for a high meat content and not a lot of carbs.

I bought some biscuits from whole foods last week without checking the ingredients... dumb move! I couldn't figure out why Boo was throwing up all afternoon so I went home and checked the treats. Sure enough, corn gluten meal was the third ingredient. I'm usually religious about checking ingredients but assumed because it was from whole foods they would be ok. Needless to say they got returned to the store!
