January 13 - More dog food is being recalled in China after reports of dogs dying from aflatoxin poisoning were made public.
Aflatoxin is a very dangerous poison, as it works by attacking the liver.
Chinese retailers have stopped selling Optima brand dog food after dogs eating it began falling sick.
The food in question was imported from Australia, and there is no word on whether or not the country will be banning imports of the food for the near future.
The company is advising all dog owners to stop feeding the food to their dogs and to throw any food away so their dogs can not get into it.
For once, China is not at fault for contaminating dog food.
