I love floppy ears too, how soft and velvety they feel between your fingers and it "softens" the look of them (which I like). I wonder if it would be similar to the bobtail and have 50/50 normal ear and erect ear - then everyone would be happy .

I wish I could type, eat gene... haha ... any who, a 50/50 split would be perfect. But from my understanding, I could be totally wrong... when introducing a gene for erect ears it will eventually become dominate and appear in most, if not all, dogs of the breed. I read something about wolves having erect ears because of the gene, or something like that? It made sense when I read it.

lol well... the "t" is next to the "r" so you were close and I knew what you meant anyway .
About the dominant ear gene that makes sense, at the moment there is 50/50 with the tails but I am assuming that is because they are doing a bobtail + normal tail breeding, when it eventually gets to the point of a bobtail + bobtail breeding one would assume the litter would be all bobtails and the same would happen with the "ear gene" I couldn't bear not having floppy ears
