Did anyone happen to see the beautiful Boxer that was on Westminister last night. She was just gorgous.

I didn't see it either... I don't have the patience to watch the whole show... if I could just see a ring of Boxers, I would love that. But I did see the winner on tv this morning. Black Scotty.

Luckily I heard it was on, so DVR'd it. With Olympics on, we don't watch much else, but it is waiting for me! The scotty was adorable. (saw her(?) on the news.)

Did you guys hear what happened at the show? It wasn't shown on TV.

"Yesterday’s show was briefly disrupted by two women from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals who stormed the Garden floor and displayed placards that read “Mutts Rule” and “Breeders Kill Shelter Dogs’ Chances.” They were protesting the buying of purebreds that reduce the chances of abandoned animals getting adopted, according to the group, in a release.
The women were booed by the crowd and arrested after being led off the floor by security."

Give me a break. They should just put together a "Mutt Show" if they are that serious. Now that I think about it, there are no "mutts" anymore, they are "cockadooldles, shorkies, maltipoos, etc." LOL

No, unfortunately. The ticket prices are just out of sight. A friend of my mother's was going to go to the opening ceremonies with his wife, and quickly changed their minds when they learned tickets were $1500 each!
My favorite events are the ice skating (stupid NBC didn't even START the men's final last night until 10:30--already past my bedtime--boy do I have a lot of DVR watching to do!) and of course those go at premium prices as well. I'd even have a place to stay as a very good friend lives in Langley BC about an hour east of Vancouver. Oh well, Wally enjoys watching the fast stuff like skiing and luge!

I heard the crowd booing that night and couldn't figure out why they were doing that. Then the next day I found about those protesters going in there.

I'm sorry but I think it's the individual's choice on what type of kind of dog they want. I've had both mutt and purebreads myself and loved all of them.
