Default Skunk!

so I was talking on another thread about calling your dog off if it sees a wild animal. On saturday my wife let peaches out to go pee at around 1130 P.M. We were staying out at our cabin at a nearby lake and of course there are no fences or anything. She was half asleep when she opened the door and peaches took off. My wife quickly looked and she was running straight for a skunk! She frantically called peaches back and she turned around 3-4 feet from the skunk (still well within spraying distance). She quickly came back inside.

Thank God!

We are both convinced that she wanted to play with the skunk not eat it so that's probably a good thing too.

Oh good girl Peaches! I'm sure a stinky dog was the last thing you and your wife would have wanted especially that late at night.

I can't imagine what Skunk smells like - we don't get them over here, thank goodness! Good girl Peaches for coming back when she was called!

it's a shame they smell cause they are kinda cute... we saw him the next morning strolling up the road infront of our cabin. About an hour later we saw a fox go past too...

Although the fox is always around I'm not really worried about her as she is fast enough and smart enough to avoid peaches.
