I have found a round plastic ring that seals the lid on the milk bottle before you open it for the first time, and a bead - well thats all I can recall at the moment........ oooh our old bitsa had pieces of tennis ball once he didn't eat the whole ball just pieces of it.

Just curious - were those two found together? lol!
Okay, a few months ago Buddy poops but it's clear that something is still hanging out or protruding. About a quarter inch long, red, and about as thick as a shoe string. He's turning around looking at his rear then up at me like "Help!"
At first my biologically inclined mind raced through a checklist of impossible thoughts like: hemorrhoids? blood clots? piece of intestine? When it's clear more action is required I carefully grab it with a bagged hand and start to gently pull. I'm thinking "What shall I do if I meet resistance?" But it keeps coming - 1/2", 3/4", 1", 2" - it just keeps coming! OMG! What is this!!! Finally, about 5 inches later it ends. I hold it up thinking "It's not biological (thankfully!) but what is this?"
It turns out he had gotten a hold of a stuffed bear and taken off the bow tie wrapped around it's neck. For some reason, he then somehow managed to swallow it. I can't imagine what he would have done without assistance. He owes me big time for that one!

I don't have a story about stools, but this one is pretty scarey. Before we moved to this house, we lived in a flat with our last dog, dear Sherry [collie x terrier]. There was an elderly lady who lived on her own in the flat beneath us. She loved Sherry so much and used to ask if she could look after her for an hour or so just so she could pet her and make a fuss of her. So one day I went down to collect her and I noticed some thread hanging out of her mouth - I pulled it and pulled it and this long cotton thread come out with a sewing NEEDLE attached to the other end. Boy, was I glad I got down there in time to see that and remove it!

A whole POTHOLDER! Youch!
Just the other day Wally came in and was acting very odd and kept looking at his butt. Since we just recently finally managed to get his sore behind cleared up, I was afraid the problem had started up again. But no--when I got him to lie down (we call it "assume the position") and with a towelette took hold of --whatever it was--and gently pulled--it was a leaf about 2 inches long! (Completely intact) off the hedge in the backyard. They are pretty substantial leaves and the edges are sort of scalloped--must be why he leaped up and raced away as fast as he could! I've also had to remove string from rope toys--he REALLY doesn't like that!
