He said YES!

I mentioned a while ago that I wanted to get a Boston but DH wasn't keen - I finally wore him down and he said YES! So I'm now on two waiting lists for a little boy but we could be waiting for two years as they're not really popular and the litters are so small. The wait is going to kill me!

I know Andrea has a Boston. Have you ever had one? Curious as to why that breed?

Ruby is going to be IN LOVE!!! I just adore bostons. They are so much like boxers, just smaller. They can be more spastic, but they are very easy to train. I'm on WOOF! A BOSTON TERRIER BOARD, a huge boston forum that I just love. I know you aren't too keen on the vaccines with Ruby, but be extra careful with the boston baby. They are so prone to vaccine reaction it is just crazy.
I know every dog is different, but Boo really is a neat little girl. She is fiercely independent when she wants, but when she wants love (which is often) she will get it! She loves her ball, and everyone she's ever met. Keepers is much more cautious with strangers. Boo is more timid than Keepers also, but it probably saves her, since she has so much personality it's good that something holds her back a little bit. She just LOVES to play with everyone and every dog. She likes a good walk, but doesn't NEED one the way Keepers does. They really have a great energy level. High, but not boxer high.
Make sure you're very careful with the lines you are getting in respect to their knees. Bostons are very prone to LP which is costly and painful to fix. Boo has a very very minor case and it kills me to see her limp at all. I can't imagine what a sever case is like.
I'm so happy for you!

I have walked one for nearly 3 years now - they are mental but good fun. Good luck, I don't envy that wait though...........

I was thinking of getting a Boston someday, when I know longer can handle the size of boxers..... I hope I don't have to change breeds since I love them so much, but as I get older, I don't have the strength at times needed to push them off of me, LOL.
I always have a fear back in my head, that if one was injured or sick and I had to take them to the vet, I wouldn't be able to lift them into the car.

No never had one. I wanted another dog but a small breed (don't really have the room for two Boxers) and a Boston ticks all the "boxes" for us: small breed, short hair - so it's easy to check for ticks (we are in a paralysis tick area), great with kids, similar personality to a Boxer - which we love, are a great match for a Boxer - many Boxer breeders over here also show and breed Bostons, esy to train, my eldest is also interested in doing agility (if I can find a club near us) and I figured a Boston would be easier for her to manage.
Andrea - I have had a look at woof board when you told me about it before - it looks good, maybe I'll join one day. The two breeders I have my name down with sound great, do the testing you told me I should be asking about, getting great results in the ring, and one holds onto their puppies until they have had second set of shots and have had their patellas checked out, which I felt was a good sign that they're in no rush to home them and are more interested in their well being.
