My boxer Aries is registered AKC and the Sire is registered CKC what is the difference? Someone said I can't register the pups as AKC so I was going to look into registering them CKC but their site says both parents have to be CKC registered to do so. What is the difference and would there be any harm in making her CKC registered?

This is stuff you should know before you go and breed a dog and not be asking after the fact.

CKC (continental kennel club) not to be mistaken for the Canadian Kennel Club is a made up registry for puppy mills, as AKC will NOT register dogs that do not comply to their regulations. Therefore, you only have the opportunity to spay and neuter all the puppies and THEY could be registered through AKC ILP system for obedience, rally, tracking, only. NO BREEDING.
The CKC (continental kennel club) on the other hand will allow you to register the sire, and then the litter itself, but most people don't buy dogs because they are registered with the (continental kennel club)
Breeding dogs is NOT just because they are registered, there is history, honor and more behind breeding dogs...
