How many of you put a seatbelt on your dog, or crate it when in the car?

Well I never take Ali anywhere except to the vet. And I just put him in the backseat in the floor. Usually I have another person riding with me to keep him in the floor so he'll be safer.

Dog seatbelts! That cracks me up every time I hear it. When I need to take any of my dogs in the car or truck, I use a crate.

No I never put seatbelt for my boxer because he is so small so seatbelt will not hold him and he is very naughty. So I used ask my friend to hold my dog while taking him in the car.

I use seat belts for my two. I drive a Prism and Keepers crate wouldn't fit in there if I tried. We use an attachment for a regular harness as his seat belt, it just has an O ring on one end, some reinforced ribbon and a carabeaner on the other end. Keepers doesn't really move while I'm driving, I just worry about getting in an accident and him going flying.

He couldn't care less. As long as he can still get a good look out the window he's fine. I imagine it helps that he is used to wearing a harness anyways. I buckle the car seat belt then hook his belt to it so he can still sit up or lay down as he pleases. They say you can also hook it to the metal thing for baby carseats in newer cars but I don't think he would be able to lay down if I hooked it there.

We tried a special seat belt harness on Boo and she HATED it, even though she wore a normal harness all the time. The car one had all sorts of padding on it and I swear it weighed more than her.

She's a boston terrier. Bostons and boxers are great together, they are two peas in a pod.

I usually just put a seat cover on the seat. I dont really drive fast or anything so i trust him being by himself besides He likes his head out the window.
