What's your dog's night time routine?

So in this house, about 10.30pm Graham takes each dog outside to go toilet. He takes them out one at a time because it's not play time - it's toilet time. Jakey takes the longest because he runs up and down the fence line looking in between every gap for foxes.........Ruby is the quickest - in and out. Roddy takes his time trying to decide on the right spot - if you know what I mean! Once they have all been out, we all sort of herd up to bedroom - no order, although Jakey is usually first one up the stairs - he LOVES going to bed, bless him. Once they are in the bedroom, Jakey usually goes on Roddy's bed, Ruby gets on her own and Roddy goes on Jakey's bed. Once the lights go off, Jakey gets off Roddy's bed and lies down at the foot of our bed, next to Roddy. That's pretty much it.

we always have a different routine. But once all the lights go out, the boys know it's time to settle down and go to bed

Since I am usually the one up later than Ron, I try to let them out for their last trip of the night at around 9:30. If I am too tired, it could be as early and 8:45. Ron is up around 4 am, so they get to go out early in the morning.
So after they go out for the night, Coco gets right into our bed (getting under covers once I come to bed). Rex usually takes a spot on the recliner, sofa, or his bed next to me here at my desk if I am here, or he might go in our bedroom, in his bed at the foot of the bed. He rarely goes in our bed anymore, until he comes to get me out of bed in the morning and play. He got me good yesterday morning. He started boxing with me and scratched my face from my eye to my ear, knocking off my glasses, LOL. But how could I get mad at him. It did really hurt, and I was just lucky my glasses were on and protected my eye.
We usually have play time every morning in my bed (since I can no longer play on the floor since having knee and hip replacements). I get pretty bruised by both of them, LOL. Rex will howl/talk at me, it is so funny

Once in awhile, my 2 will start playing at 10 at night! I mean tearing through the whole house, LOL. Lights on or off, LOL.

Our night time routine usually starts with Ruby sitting on the mat while we eat, then she has her dinner (she often paces the kitchen while we are loading the dishwasher lol), then the kids have thier baths/showers which Ruby insists on supervising - she also has to test the bubbles in the bubble bath out (she always comes out licking her chops with bubbles on her face), next she will sit with her Daddy while he watches TV and takes his socks off for him which always ends up with them chasing through the house and rough housing on the floor, she then follows me around reading to the little ones and tucking them in (she never misses this), after some cuddles with either my eldest or I she goes out to toilet and then goes into my eldest's room and puts herself to bed for the night which is around 8:30 she will stay in there until 6:30 the next morning unless someone comes to the door or she hears something outside - she makes me laugh when she hears something outside because she will get up and go look out the window and after a minute or so she will HUFF like a cranky old lady who has been disturbed by noisy kids and go back to bed lol.

AussieGirl, your routine sounds like it should be a reality TV show, lol!!!
Ours is fairly mundane. We get up around 5 so we go to bed around 9. If we aren't going to bed, Buddy goes to sleep where we are. He lays on his love seat (how'd it get to be his love seat, anyways? ) in the living room and goes to sleep without us. We have to wake him up when we go to bed and then he follows us in.
He has a Coolaroo bed in our bedroom but won't get on it until he gets his bedtime treat. If I'm in the bathroom he pushes the door open and looks at me like "I'm tired and waiting out here on you, ya know!"
Last night the white tailed deer were out walking really close to our slider. It must be about breeding season because they were making this noise that sounds like a cow which I guess means they want to breed RIGHT NOW. Buddy sat up and started to do this low, slow growl. Apparently he didn't want any of that going on during his watch.
They sure keep our lives interesting, don't they?

LOL at both your nightly routine and the sound of the deer.

Wally usually starts settling down around 9-9:30 and takes a preliminary nap either on his 2/3 of the sofa (more like 3/4!) or the area rug. Around 10 pm it's last call, and he goes out for his last patrol of the backyard. Then (unless he's decided to play keep away--a new development in the past couple of weeks) he runs straight into his crate for his goodnight cookies. We almost never hear a peep out of him until the next morning--even if it's the weekend and we sleep in! (after an especially tough week, he was there from 10 pm until about 9am--man has he got a tank on him!)

8:00 is my sons bath time and Bo always has to "help". he leans in and takes my son bath toys then when he gets out Bo gets to help dry him off(by stealing to towel) after bath time it is story time and Bo has to "help" with that too. then bed time for my son(9:30) and Bo goes up and tucks him in with us. then its time for Bo to fall asleep on the couch. at about 10:30 its time for Bo to have one last potty time. he goes out and usually only pees. then its off to bed he very slowly goes upstairs and even slower he crawls into his crate and its off to dreamland.
