You know. all kidding aside, he is going to get into something dangerous, maybe a crate would be a good idea, the cost of the crate would be minimal to what he has already destroyed?

he's been crated. They are blocked off in the kitchen when we leave. They opened the closet to get to the litter

But being crated is totally different than being gated in a room... there is NOTHING he can get into being in a crate.

He might even put 2 and 2 together and figure out if he's good, he doesn't get crated, and if he gets into things, it's back to jail!

It's revenge for all that dress up stuff you've been putting him through.

Maybe he's just not ready for that freedom yet? You all know I don't crate but Ruby has her own "room" the reason it works is because there is absolutely nothing that she can get to that I dont want her to, the cupboard in there has a child lock on it and the one under the sink that I can't put a child lock on is empty, everything is either in the locked cupboard or up on a shelf. The only other things in there are her bed and bowls. I have started to leave her out when I'm not home for short periods and she does well but there is no way I would have at Newman's age - she was a brat lol

But even though he can't get "into" things, crating is best because he won't be able to chew on anything at all, as say, corners of wood (floor moldings),counters, a door etc.
