Nothing yet! I'm a bad mama! Of course, he JUST had his birthday, where he got a new bed, and toys--and really, on Christmas or whenever you are opening packages, all you have to do is grab an old toy, wad it up in a piece of wrapping paper, and toss it in their general direction and it's "woopie! we have a new toy!" They ARE easily amused! (as long as he can shred paper, Wally is happy!)

Wow!!! They all look so pretty now.... LOL...

Those wouldn't last a day in my house.
I haven't gotten a thing yet. I was thinking of it today. I am going to the Pet store tomorrow I hope, so will be shopping then.

Well he got an early Xmas present, a brand new Round Super-padded Suede Bed. He saw the box being delivered and couldnt wait and started ripping it apart. LOL

Want to get him a couple of new toys too though.

We got Buddy some of the very same toys as you!!!

The Kyjen Hard Boiled Softies are one of the few toys that Buddy can't destroy in a week, and just loves!!! We also got a couple of the Kyjen squeaker toys like the Gator Mat. He's been steadily working on removing the squeakers.

I find it frustrating that 1) so many of the "indestructible" toys are easily destroyed by him and 2) the pieces that are removed are often hard, sharp plastic or other potentially dangerous if swallowed. For example, we got him the Kyjen Snake Dog, which he really loves, but the first thing he did was tear open the tail to get to the "rattler" which shattered into very sharp splinters of plastic.

Maybe boxers need their own version of toys, but I suspect other breeds are equally inquisitive (destructive?). This year we gave them to him all at once in an effort to prevent him from getting focused on destroying them one by one. I'm not sure it's working, but it might be helping to reduce his fixation.

The "hard boiled" ones by Kygen definitely the most indestructible and loved by him. But be warned: They have a loud squeaker! And a somewhat distressing sound to it too, which is something I think he really finds appealing.

Great post, Stephanie. I'm curious too what toys others have found to be fun and not destroyed within a day or two.

Shenzi is getting a lump of coal! Haha... She'd probably love it though...

Sally, I know what you mean about those indestructible toys! My roommate's dog, Victor, he's a white german shepard, destroys everything! His latest feat was shredding a Kong. I didn't even know what was possible! He and Shenzi also enjoy ripping the stuffing out of a stuffed toys... We tend to not keep those around anymore!

Bo will be getting a new bed, he has been without one for a months or so because within a week after we bought him one it was shredded, so this new one will not be going in his crate. he will also be getting some of those stuffing free toys, and maybe some home made doggie treats.

Umm I keep giving it to them when they come lol. They got a large coolaroo the other day for them to share in the undercover area outside - they LOVE it, I also got a Chritmas themed squeeker toy and rope toy (both look like they wont last very long). Their favourite toy is a fleecy tug Fleecy Clean, Double Split Tug by Pet Accessories Australia - RSPCA I got them a double one so they can have an end each and Ruby loves her Teaser Jolly Ball (cost me a fortune as they are hard to get over here) has only scratches on it and Fudgie LOVES Kong squeeker balls. Cuz has lasted well for us Ruby loves the frog one and Fudgie the Dino one
