Default Good things for my boxer to chew on?

my boxer baby is only 10 weeks old and he wants to chew everything he can. What are some good things to let him chew on so he doesn't destroy the house?

Well not your slippers, lol! All of my dogs like rawhide bones, and two of them enjoy the "pig ears" you can buy. Just about any of the rubber or leather or rawhide toys they sell at PetSmart or any store.

I don't really recommend stuffed animals because your pup can easily tear them and you'll up with cotton stuffings all over the house. Not to mention your pup might swallow some of it, which I don't think would be good.

Yes anything from petsmart or any pet store should be good. My dog Rosco likes the squeaky tennis ball thing lol. sure it may get annoying but at least my leather couch doesn't get chewed!

I would have to agree with you Tombo! lol

Definitely not good for your dog to chew leather or cotton toy's because that would most likely mean a visit to the vet.

My dog used to chew every thing around my house. So I bought him rubber bones and some toys for chewing. I think these stuffs are not tasty he again chewing my shoes and other things around my house.

I will never again give mine rawhide. It isn't digestible and can cause an obstruction. Here's a good article about them...

http://www.daneangelnetwork.org/rawhide.htm

I gave rawhide once to our smaller dog and she got violently ill. We actually thought we were going to loose her.

What I do give is... bully sticks (love them), better than ears treats (the ingredients aren't great but at least they can digest them), dried string ray tails called "fish sticks", durable nylabones, natural rope chews. I'm sure I can think of more. Bully sticks are by far my favorite. We also give raw meaty bones which are great to clean teeth.

the raw hides with the knob ends (look like real bones) are the most dangerous as they can become lodged in your dogs throat.

Tie had a few close calls with chocking on them before i stopped buying them.

I know lots of people who used those puppy keys... and LOVED them. We got some for Boo as a pup and she wouldn't touch them!
