I just came back from the vet with Rex for his annual checkup, heartworm test and he gained 17 pounds from his visit last January!!!!! I knew he put on some weight, but didn't think it was that much.
The vet laughed while examining him saying he is losing his waistline, LOL.

Rex is enjoying the good life! I walk a very fat beagle, he is a shocking 29kg - even heavier than Roddy who is only 28kg, the beagle has to lose 9kg, vet's orders.
How much does Rex weigh Doreen and did the vet say whether he needs to lose any of the weight? or is he ok as he is?

Rex weighs 76 pounds. Vet didn't say he needs to lose, but the vet tech stressed, DON'T LET HIM GAIN ANYMORE !!!
You can still see his "boxer shape", but it is slowly disappearing, LOL. It will get lost if we don't watch. I'm sure once summer springtime rolls around and he gets out to run again, he will trim down a bit. He just looks VERY solid right now.

Trying to get Rex to stand still so I could take a side shot of him, but he looks scared, short & stubby, LOL
This turned out a little blurry.
Of course as I tried taking Rex's photo, Coco has to get in there too, LOL.
