That deer fights like a boxer!
I noticed the yard seemed to be fenced in. I wonder if they'd trapped the deer in hopes of making a pet out of it.

I'm pretty sure that deer could jump that fence if she wanted to--I think it's more likely this was a foster baby and has grown up with the dog. Very cute!

That is too cute really. The deer has such spindley little legs yet it did seem/sound like she did rather clonk the lab with them. It was nice just watching them play together though, and funny to see the lab imitating the deer towards the end. Did you see on the right hand side near the end of the video there were 2 cats sitting on the wall? they didn't seem the least bit bothered by it all, so it must go on quite alot.

Our dog/deer video
Hi Everybody,
Well, the dog/deer video is ours. That's our black lab, Buddy, and his good friend, Theen, in that video that Doreen posted. The deer was an abandoned baby deer that was dehydrated and near death when it was discovered laying on hot pavement on a 100 degree day in Texas during Summer of 2009. The deer had to be professionally/medically treated and then we had to bottle feed it until it was big enough to eat/graze on it's own. Buddy, a male lab, treated the baby deer as if it was his own. He cleaned it like a mother deer would clean their baby. The deer grew to love and trust the dog. The deer grew up and is able to live out on it's own in the Texas Hill Country. It now roams with other white tail deer and even some spotted axis deer. It's a wonderful success story for helping an rescued baby deer survive.
You can see many more photos of the dog and the deer if you go to their facebook page, that is entitled: " Baby Deer Theen and Black Lab Buddy ". On that facebook page is a photo album that contains almost 200 photos of the deer and the dog as the deer was growing up.
In the postings, it also shows some other links to other videos of the two animals together....and even with more of our cats.
Enjoy and have a great week!

It is amazing to see how small he was... and it looks like his little spots were painted on him, LOL. You should see how the deer, the cats, the dog were standing at the back door looking in waiting to be fed, LOL.... and the deer playing with a little girl. SO CUTE!
