Don't June Bugs sort of remind you of Cracker Jacks! HEHEHE
. . . . in color?
They are a species of scarab beetles, and are only 1/2 to 5/8 inches long. You really cannot see that hairy stuff on their bellies. It is the flying that is so irritating and their "thorny" little legs that grab on to your hair and clothing.
We also have shiny green scarab beetles. I don't mind picking up the June Bugs and throwing them out of the house, but as yet have never touched a green one.
We tried turning off the outside lights last night thinking that would keep them away from the house, but they were attracted to the lights from inside the house. They are attracting toads and snakes, AND puppies! ARG!
