Hey guys,

I just wanted to share this with you!

I have used collars from the store and have not been happy with them! So as I was checking out the puppy that my friend is going to buy I came across that the breeder also make custom jacket and slide collars. So being disgusted with all the store collars I figured why not see if these collars are going to be as good as I thought they would be!!!!!! I just received them today and I must say that they are amazing. The best ones I have found.

If you go to South Willow Boxers - Utah Boxer Breeders, AKC Champion Boxers, Boxers for Show and Companion you can see the custom jackets she makes.

Very nice looking. Is it a Martingale or regular collar? Buddy's always in a Maringale - I think he'd slip a regular collar.

Nice collar! I definitely need a new one for Shenzi. She pulls too much on her leash and that makes the collar pull apart, and then she slips out and off she goes! Very frustrating haha! I think I need to invest in a sturdy, leather collar for her though. Don't need any stretch!

She calls them slip collars. From what I can tell they are like a choker chain but made of material. They have no clasps to click together they just slide over the dogs head then you adjust for size.

I've been also having an issue with Cargo chewing on the ends of the other dogs collars and with this there isn't any of that, so thats a bonus too!

How a Martingale Collar Works explains how they work. Here's a pic:

Much safer than a choker because it's got a limited amount it can close. So it tightens up if Buddy's pulling on it - so he can't slip it - but it's not going to tighten down so far it chokes him.

Not sure if that's the same as a slide collar or not. I haven't heard of that kind - at least by that name.
